Nine Days Over-due

Just a quick update on pregnant Sarah, my friend who's baby was due on the 13th March.

Well, the baby has not put in an appearance yet, but there were concerns on Friday about movements and liquid so she went in for a trace.

All is normal thank god and baby is still doing well. Sarah is getting understandably very, very fed up.

She also had a sweep which doesn't seem to have done much. She did make me smile when she was recounting the experience to me though. The consultant performing the sweep was less than eloquent; "Hold on.. nearly got it, think I can just get my finger in... there!"

Nice.

Well, she's due to be induced on Tuesday so I'll hopefully have more news after then - not that she particularly wants to be induced (and who can blame her?) She's going to have to start working her way through the top ten ways of getting labour going, that I wrote about in my last blog. Just not the castor oil, eh?
