Frankfurt Christmas Market

By Laura Yates on Dec 8, 08 09:14 PM

Yesterday was German Market day for us - I'm so in the Christmas mood now! I love it!! A cinnamon pancake washed down with Gluhwein is definitely the way forward. Although it's not exactly great value for money; at £2.50 for a bratwurst hotdog and £3.00 for a glass of mulled-wine you'll have to raid your Christmas savings just to eat.

That said I think that The Frankfurt Christmas Market is a tradition for most Brummies now. I don't know many people who don't make a yearly pilgrimage there.

Yes, I'm truly full of Christmas spirit now! The decorations are up which I think look fab, (even if The Other Half reckons the living room looks like a social club) the tree is going up at the end of the week and we're already on our second box of mince pies! I can't afford my 'shop bought mince pie' habit so we'll be getting some homemade ones on the go this weekend

Last night I was sat with a tray on my lap writing my Christmas cards like a true old person, while watching Elf on DVD. I have been giving much thought to the best Christmas films and have compiled the definitive Top Ten. I shall blog this tomorrow!

I just cannot wait for Christmas!! I'm such a child, I love, love, love everything about it! I feel sick with excitement just writing this! (Or is it the number of mince pies I've eaten today?)
