Two Kids, One Pair of Hands.

I have a new found respect for mothers of twins. Any parent will tell you that looking after a child under one is really hard work - but today I found out how difficult it is looking after two!

My adopted baby for the day arrived, and I spent the first ten minutes congratulating myself on how well I was handling my expanded tribe.

They sat, and they played, and all was good. Then one went one way and the other went t'other. (I'm sure they planned it.)

Simple things cause the problems, things you wouldn't even consider. What do you do with one while you put the other in the car? How do you get all three of you up stairs? How on earth do you go to the toilet?!

Despite being hard work, we all had a great time. After accepting the fact that the whole day would revolve around these children I could just get on with it.

Hope I get to do it again soon - especially loved pushing around a twin pushchair! It was awesome! Stick some bull bars on the front and I'd take on a herd of wildebeest! Don't know how keen on it I'd be if I had to haul it around shops on a daily basis though.

Really funny blog Laura!! Paints a great pic!! I too have respect for those blessed with twins!! When they are small enough to remain where you leave them, it's not so bad, but when they learn they can get away from you...then there's a problem!! Keep the entries coming...always a pleasure to read.

I think you and LHH are very brave, I looked after Girly and her friend for half an hour and nearly had a nervous breakdown.
Loving reading your updates!
