A Funny Old Age..

Twenty Eight is a funny old time of life.

We're neither fish nor fowl - too young to settle in every night with a mug of Horlicks, too old to be out partying in Rosie O'Brian's (or reflux, whatever it's called now) every weekend, with those school kids the bouncers are letting in these days.

We either look at our married mates - everyone seems to be settling down and having babies - and wonder if we should be doing the same. Or, we are looking at our free and single friends whilst surrounded by our young broods, and wondering if we're missing out on the last throws of youth?

When people ask me how old I am, I've even begun to shave the odd year (or three) off my age. That is such an old woman thing to do!

Ah well, it can't be helped I suppose. As thirty looms ever closer It's best to just be honest with myself and the world. I shall get my age updated on this webpage first thing tomorrow.

Actually, maybe I'll leave it just a few more days.

I am in the twilight of my youth (not that I'm going to remember).

Some of us are closer to 30 than you...
However, am happier now than I ever was, thanks to OH, Girly and the like. Never enjoyed Reflux much anyway!
