Advice From Bottle Feeding Moms Please...
I'm having problems with The Kid's nappies, or rather the contents of them.
He's had a really runny tummy for the last three days. He has two bottles of formula a day, and we changed brands about three weeks ago.
He was exclusively breast fed to start with, and we introduced one bottle at night at about two months, so I'm really no expert when it comes to formula milks.
I believe that changing brands suddenly can cause upset tummies - but I thought this was for younger babies whose only source of food was the milk.
Billy is eleven months old now. Could a change of brand have affected him like this? He's fine in every other way, just a bit miserable every now and again.
Also - do I need to cut out the milk altogether for a while until he's better?
All advice greatly appreciated, I want my poorly boy to get better quickly.

Not enough curry.
I think that three weeks is long enough for a fair test of whether or not the milk is suitable.
Perhaps a change back to the original feeding mechanism, or a further change of brand.
Try one of the "comfort" brands. Me and Lisa feed Josh on Cow & Gate Comfort, switched from SMA as he was sick after every bottle, and now he's fine.
Hi Daniel - We went back to using just Aptamil, but he still has a very upset tummy. I'm quite concerned about him now.. but he is absolutely fine in every other way. Might take him to the Health Visitors on Thursday and see what they suggest.
Got the results of the sample I took.. just said "No infection".. so I think that means he hasn't got a tummy bug.
Gave him a bottle of plain cow's milk before he went to be tonight on advice of a couple of friends. If there is still no change I'll look at the C&G Comfort. Cheers for the advice, and thinking about it, you're right. Three weeks is long enough.. don't think I'll leave it so long next time.
Thanks again.
