You're it!
As you will see from the comment on my last post, I've been 'tagged' by a fellow mother blogger (doesn't that sound rude?) to take part in the Blog World's answer to tig.
It's a cunning way to get more people to read your blog while at the same time spreading the love to other bloggers. A kind of 'I'll read yours if you read mine' kinda thing.
Apparently all I have to do is answer the following questions then tag five other bloggers to do the same. Simple, eh?
What were you doing five years ago?
Hold on while I just wind up my hormone-addled brain. Ermmm, let me see. Five years ago. 2003. Hmmm. So I'd have been 27...
Nope, nothing's coming. There's just a big black hole where my memory used to be. Can I come back to this at the end?
What are five things on your to-do list for today?
I hope to: put a wash on (woo hoo), sweep the kitchen floor (double woo hoo), post my niece's birthday card, write this blog and s-l-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-p.
What are five snacks you enjoy?
Mollie's thighs: mmmm, munch munch; Biscuits: all kinds; Cake: all kinds; Walkers Sweet Chilli Sensations; Those cashew nuts covered in honey. Oooh, I could go a packet now.
What five things would you do if you were a billionaire?
I hate questions like this. Feel compelled to answer 'end world peace' a la Miss World contestant when really want to say: Buy a big yacht; buy nice dress; throw big party; live life of unparalleled luxury; s-l-e-e-e-e-e-e-p.
What are five of your bad habits?
Honestly, if only you'd asked me last year I could have given you hundreds. Drinking too much, smoking when drunk, gossiping when hung-over, etc, etc...But now, thanks to Miss Mollie, I'm the very embodiment of respectability. Even PG Tips, my last true vice, has been replaced with peppermint tea as caffeine was proving too goddam exciting.
The one habit I can't break is incessant worrying about rubbish all day long (I sang that last bit to the Wheels on the Bus tune).
What are five places where you have lived?
Leeds, where I were born and bred, eeh bah gum; Liverpool, where I, ahem, 'studied'; Australia where I embarked on a series of mind-numbing jobs (see next question) to fund a playgirl lifestyle of travelling and partying; Chicago, it's a long story; Lovely Brum.
What are five jobs you've had?
Hotel cleaner; melon packer; grape picker; supermarket stacker; journalist. Just remembered that's what I was doing five years ago; learning to be a reporter. DON'T say anything...
So, now we come to the sharing/ caring bit. Which five other bloggers shall I tag? I'm just going to pick my favourites: From Dawn till Rusk, Fat Mammy Cat, Editorial Girl and Alpha Mummy.
I don't have time to explain why they're great (You Know Who is about to wake from her nap) but you'll see if you click through.
Hey, I can cross an item off my To Do list. Hurrah!

Blimey, I'm one of your favourites!
I have dutifully played the game (harder than it looks, folks) and tagged five more lucky bloggers here.
Loving your work.
xx
By the way, melon packer sounds like a euphemism. I'm not sure what for.
