Water baby
Well, guess what! The toddler's teacher Cathy Wright has now moved to Brum and runs swimming classes in Sutton Coldfield with husband Jon.
I found all this out on Saturday as Mollie enjoyed her first Water Babies session under Jon's expert tutelage (Cathy - being nine months pregnant - was otherwise engaged).
And what a session! Waiting by the side of the pool for the previous class to finish, resplendent in her new purple swimming trunks, I've never seen my baby girl so excited.
Then once in the water, she looked ecstatic as daddy helped her learn the moves. Jon made it fun and easy, using nursery rhymes to teach the babies how to hold their breaths and fall safely into the pool.
The half hour class was over too soon but not before Mollie and all the other tadpoles had attempted their first underwater swims - solo.
Learning to swim gives babies confidence and develops their muscles ,especially the brain. Best of all - Mollie slept like a log last night. Can't wait for week two!

Hi Victoria, glad you enjoyed your first lesson.
To be fair to Elizabeth's normal teacher I should probably point out that Cathy only taught her on a few occasions, as she normally had lessons at a different pool to the ones where Cathy's sessions were, but the classes were obviously exactly the same as we're running here, so well done for bringing Mollie along to something so beneficial!
She did very well - look forward to seeing you all again next week!
