Muslim Scouts taking over the world?
Did you know that a 1/3 of all Scouts in the world are Muslim?
Thats over 9 million boys and girls who beieve that the world is a better place when you are "trustworthy, self-controlled and self-confident, have self-respect and respect for others, work together to serve other people and to improve society and have an active faith".
I had no idea.
Whatever will they take over next!

I agree with John! I'm also interested, Faraz, as a modern-sounding Muslim, what your view is on this Sharia law debate triggered by the Archbish?

I think the Archbish raised issues which, in the long term, will help people's understanding of different religions and cultures. I don't think he was right. I don't think he researched well enough. I don't think it's a good idea that he's now in virtual hiding. But I also don't think he meant any harm. And, ultimately, I think he may have done some good.
Did you know that there is a muslim scout group in Birmingham?
If im correct, there is a Muslim Scout Association, not to sure though.
I do not think that 1/3 of scouts in the world being muslim is a problem. What i think is a problem is that a Muslim Scout Association exists, are muslims going to completely segrigate themselves from society? I think this is a worrying sign of things to come.
