Upside down news bills....

By Steve Dyson on Mar 6, 08 06:32 PM

We print editors are always on the look out for innovative ways to sell more papers. On patrol today, visiting one of our district offices, and a new idea came to mind.

The staff at the office concerned had accidentally placed the news bill upside-down in the shop window.

It should have read...

900+
JOBS
TODAY

Instead, it looked something like....

/\VOOL
S8O7
+006

Control freak me, of course, went to the window and turned it the right way round before I'd even said hello.

Bless the front counter staff - dead embarrassed to have done this on the day the editor visits. But then someone pointed out that it had caught more eyes of the passing public because it was upside down.

Are we on to something new?

Try a p1 headline upside down and see what happens!
