Three cheers for Mrs D!
Before anyone starts feeling too sorry for me and my wrecked holiday, good news awaited my return home tonight.
Despite a hectic online market of worried holiday-makers rebooking online, Mrs D has managed to get in quick to grab the same week in another cottage just a few miles away, this time in the actual harbour area of Porthleven.
Cracking sea views, 50 yards from a fisherman's pub, a nearby chippy, no internet connection and a stone's throw from a newsagents.
Holiday here I come! (10 day countdown starts now).
Well done, Mrs D. I knew there was a good reason we married!

Tony G: Indeed she did... better than that. We rebooked with the same firm. Cheaper cottage (though it looks better). £65 refund. More beers and cream teas methinks...
