NEWS THAT the Baggies are back in the Premiership is great for local fans.

But the club could also be about to win a whole new international audience thanks to a classic sporting moments satellite TV channel.

ESPN Classic reckons it reaches more than 26 million households across Europe, the Middle East & Africa, with local channels in the UK, France & Italy, a Pan European channel, and a recently launched channel serving the Middle East & Africa.

It also claims to be the leader in presenting classic moments in sport, reaching more than 58 million US households.

To celebrate the Baggies' emphatic return, ESPN Classic (Sky Channel 442) will be hosting a series of some of the club's most exciting games from August 4-9 as well as during the opening weekend of the season on August 16/17.

Fans will be able to relive some of the club's most exciting moments from its illustrious past.

The Baggies start their campaign against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, August 16 at 12.45pm with the first Premier League game of the 2008/2009 season.

Just before the big match kicks-off, tune into ESPN Classic at 11.25am to recall West Brom's 2-1 win against Arsenal in the 2005/2006 season, when after going a goal down, former Arsenal player Kanu scored two goals to seal a memorable victory.

During the 'Baggies are Back' week, relive the drama filled season of 2004/2005, dubbed 'the great escape', when West Brom became the first Premier League club to avoid relegation having been bottom of the table at Christmas.

Remembered as one of the most nail biting ends to a season, the Baggies were one of four teams who could go down, but after a thrilling run of games they clinched survival on the very last day of the season with a 2-0 win against Portsmouth.

Buoyant Baggie fans will also undoubtedly remember their encounter with Charlton Athletic in the same season, when they thumped them 4-1 with Robert Earnshaw scoring a 17-minute hat-trick after coming on as a substitute.

The series will also look back at the great West Brom side managed by 'Big Ron' Atkinson during the late 70's and early 80's, which featured legends such as Bryan Robson, Cyrille Regis and Laurie Cunningham.

They recorded memorable achievements by reaching third place in the top division in 1979 as well as reaching the quarter finals of the UEFA Cup in the same season.

ESPN Classic welcome West Bromwich Albion back to the Premier League by hosting a series of memorable matches on Sky Channel 442 every week night at 7.15pm from August 4-9 2008 and during the opening Premier League weekend on August 16/17.
