BBC BULL HIT

By Graham Young on May 13, 2008 10:07 AM |

A FUNNY thing happened on the way to my toaster.

At around 6.16am on BBC1 Breakfast today Bill Turnbull and Sian Williams carried on discussing the merits of a giant bull while Declan Curry in another studio was trying ever so hard to keep a straight face about property prices.

The producers' gallery hadn't turned off the sound from the main studio so while Declan was worrying about negative equity, Bill and Sian could be heard talking off-camera about the massive beast they'd seen pictured in one of the nationals.

Unfortunately, although Bill and Sian could be heard talking 'bull', the sound from their studio wasn't quite high enough to hear if they were putting their feet in a cow pat.

I never did quite hear whether or not Sian was suggesting the bull might have nothing on, er, Bill.

Shame. Could have been the TV highlight of the week.
