A mobile phone went off during this morning's pre-match press conference at Wolves.
And for once there were no embarrassed and fumbling efforts among the assembled press corps to switch it off.
Because on this occasion it was Mick McCarthy's, banging out "A Town called Malice" by The Jam.
For what it's worth!
On the other end was Jay Bothroyd's agent hoping to finalise details of his month's loan to Stoke, another decision sure to provoke plenty of debate among Wolves fans.
Once described by McCarthy as potentially the best striker in the Championship, on his day Bothroyd can be unplayable.
On others however he can be deeply frustrating.
Having been particularly unmoved by Bothroyd's showing in the recent FA Cup debacle at Cardiff, McCarthy hadn't used him in the 16 since and now comes today's latest development.
On the face of it a sensible move. Whether or not people agree with Bothroyd being out of the picture if he's not going to play he might as well head off and play somewhere else, and it's fair to say Wolves aren't exactly in the mix to push Stoke in the race for automatic promotion.
But should Bothroyd respond by banging a few goals in during his month's stay, and thus nudge Stoke ever closer to a possible climb into the Premiership, it can also throw up plenty more questions about Wolves' current plethora of strikers.
More strong words from a Wolves player today as Jay Bothroyd has a pop at the attitude of some fans which saw one unnamed player's mother walk out of a recent game.
Michael Kightly had a go at the fans in the Birmingham Mail about a month ago - with his standing among supporters his words were listened to but Bothroyd, a target for the boo-boys himself, could be a different matter.
But at the end of the day why should he be?
