BRUCE Willis has no desire to steal the thunder from his ex and her husband when it comes to Twitter.

Demi Moore is a signed-up member of the twitterati, while hubby Ashton Kutcher became the first to have one million followers on the social networking site.

But Bruce just doesn't see the point, eschewing the internet phenomena for more personal forms of communication.

Asked at the premiere of his new movie Surrogates if he intended to join Demi in the tweetosphere, the 54-year-ol Die Hard actor told reporters: "Doubtful, doubtful."

Bruce said: "I just can't live with myself if I started twittering. I just think that way lies madness."

RUMER Willis celebrated her 21st birthday in Las Vegas at the weekend.

The oldest daughter of Demi Moore and Die Hard actor Bruce Willis was joined by her famous parents as well as Demi's husband Ashton Kutcher among the 55 guests at Tao, People magazine reports.

Rumer said: "Getting to come here is pretty amazing."

The Sorority Row actress was presented with a giant birthday cake delivered by two Vegas showgirls.

An Elvis impersonator then serenaded her with Happy Birthday.

UK films pulled in £1.65 billion worldwide last year, up a massive 50 per cent on the previous 12 months, figures showed today.

The UK Film Council said the last decade has also seen a 50 per cent increase in UK box office takings - while July 2007 was the biggest single month of cinema-going in Britain for almost 40 years.

The Council put last summer's stampede down to the popularity of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, The Simpsons Movie and Transformers.

UK films accounted for more than one in four cinema tickets sold in the UK - or 29 per cent of the total UK box office, up from 19 per cent in 2006.
