GREAT news from Kerrie Davies, the events manager with Acorns Children's Hospice.
Its premiere of the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace at Cineworld Broad Street on Thursday helped to raise the magnificent sum of £17,000.
A raffle for a 007 Martini shaker set in a Quantum of Solace box - one of only 1,000 made for distribution worldwide - raised £1,000.
Having sourced this prize with just one phone call to my pals at distributors Sony, I'd say that's a great return on a simple investment.
Thanks, Sony - and to everyone who bought tickets in aid of such a good cause.
It's also nice to know that Jonathan Boote was absolutely delighted with his prize.
