Have you ever noticed that when you buy a packet of peaches, apricots or even nectarines or the like from supermarkets that there is always at least one fruit, cleverly positioned so that the damaged bit with its growth of fungal fluff is hidden from view, in every pack.
My wife bought some peaches from a local supermarket, I won't say which one, just think orange, which had two rotten fruit and the replacement was a 100 per cent improvement - just one bad fruit.
Is it just me or does anyone else thing that in every packing plant there is some soul whose job is to sit by a pile of damaged fruit ensuring at least one goes in every pack?
