Fergie v Eck first up
Last time Blues won at Manchester United anyone?
Last time they scored a goal moreover.
In eight visits they've lost the lot and not scored. Before that there was a draw, which followed another two losses that drew a blank.
So some way to start the new campaign, at the home of the Champions!

Oh, and it was in 1978, when goals by Kevin Dillon and Trevor Francis gave Blues a 2-1 victory at Old Trafford.

Great way to start the season for Blues - Benitez winner at Old Trafford!
Tatts can you tell us any more about the real reasons Steve Kelly has left us on a free, only a short time after we rejected £2.7m for him?
McLeish cited a lack of form/confidence when questioned at the most recent forum, but there must surely have been some kind of fall out?
It just seems a very strange affair, as Kelly was our best player bar Larsson during our dismal relegation season. He experienced an injury-hit season, but so did the likes of Murphy, O'Connor, Phillips, Bent, McFadden and Parnaby who was supposed to replace him.
For a footballer Kelly seems a really decent guy and as a pacey defender and regular international at 25, surely he fits the profile that McLeish wants at Blues?
I wouldn't mind finding out a) Why Stoke didn't buy Kelly? b) Did they pay the money we were supposedly due if they didn't? and c) Why couldn't we have actioned the one year option so as to attract a fee. Some may say it wouldn't have been a large fee, but any amount larger than zero would have been profit, surely??
I heard through the grapevine that when his move to Fulham fell through last time, Kelly refused to play for Brum again. Not sure how true it is but it comes from a guy who usually has the right info.
