Now I love the warm weather as much as the next person, but how come when I looked out of the window to see the sun shining this morning, I was filled with dread?

Not because I had a sudden aversion to bright skies, or longed for winter mornings, but because I realised that I now have nothing to wear!!!

Packing away the summer clothes into the loft seemed such a good idea last September - but now I need them!

So now I face hours of trawling through last summer's clothes, deciding what can stay and what MUST go - not to mention a scary trip up the loft ladders!

And when I venture home from the office this afternoon in a jumper, wool coat and designer sweat patches, I'm sure the job will seem all the more necessary!

Judging by this year's Bafta fashion the essential statement this season is bare the back.

A host of top stars including Beyoncé and Kate Hudson went for plunging backlines.

But does this look really work on Broad St?

THE media is into its pre-Oscar feeding frenzy, praising the successes and lashing out at the fashion disasters of the Baftas. Tilda Swinton, we are told, looked stunning in Dior while Marion Cotillard is a hit in Chanel.
What makes a fashion pundit a pundit? I watched the Baftas and thought said Marion's dress was just plain hideous while the pictures I have seen of Tilda are enough to convince me never to wear yellow.
And how come if you compare two newspapers one will say Myleene Klass looked great and another will trash her colour sense?
The truth is that fashion taste is just that - taste.
But we do love those right/wrong comparisons.
