Your round
IT'S now 7.05 and the eldest still hasn't left the house to do the paper round.
For the past few weeks he has very cleverly got me doing more and more.
Tonight though, my wife and I decided enough was enough - time to stand on your own two feet.
He'd had all day to insert the inserts but chose to spend his time dossing with friends in the park.
As he strolled up the road a picture of health he spotted my wife and suddenly, inexplicably slumped down on the outside wall complaining of a stomach ache.
"I've been sick all afternoon," he whined.
"Why didn't you come home then?" asked my wife....mumble, mumble.
Ten minutes later it was "Is there any grub?" - not bad for a lad who had felt ill moments earlier.
He'll be off in a bit and has already asked if I'll give him a lift up to the starting point with the papers....watch this space.
