A FOOD snob in the office could barely contain his contempt at being sent Delia Smith's latest controversial How to Cheat at Cooking recipe book.

He tossed it aside denouncing it as "rubbish" and "disgraceful" while also making no attempt to conceal his distaste for anyone lazy enough to use it.

I took it home and offered it to my wife with a casual "you interested in this?".

"Oh fantastic!" she said; "This is brilliant for every mum who works and can't be bothered with hours of preparing food".
