Speaking Double Dutch

Sometimes even the simplest of questions can leave you baffled and utterly bewildered.
Take the last 24 hours, for instance...
"Is Luke Moore signing on loan for Albion?", I ask a 'spokesperson' for Villa who shall- for the moment- remain nameless.
"Not that I am aware of", he says.
"Will he be signing on Friday?", asks I with one eye on the 93 day maximum loan.
"What are Albion saying about it?", he replies.
"Not a lot", says I.
"Well, there is nothing at this end," he says.
Okay, thinks I, a day later. I go for something simpler.
"I've been with the manager this afternoon and you are to see him at 9.30am in the morning", came this afternoon's call from the above spokesman.
(The weekly meeting with the manager is to take place a day later than normal up at Bodymoor Heath, that's all.)
"Fine", I say. "What did he say about Gabby Agbonlahor's fitness", I am hopeful of gaining something overnight with a view to our early deadlines. (We didn't lose the tag 'Evening' Mail for nothing)
"Well...err, the players were off yesterday and have just come back in today so it isn't on his mind yet", came the reply.
Sometimes, in life, you have to look not just on the top of the rock but in the nooks and crannies for your answers.
